One of my favorite things about my job is that once in a while I get to visit places I wouldn’t have otherwise. Such was the case with Erica and Pete’s Wedding on Block Island this past summer. Taking the ferry over from New London, Connecticut was the first leg in what proved to be an exciting weekend. I can’t stress enough how much easier doing a first look before the ceremony is for the itinerary on a wedding day. It improves the photographs by allowing any nearby location to be used as a background with less restrictive time limitations. It also allows the B&G to enjoy their reception without the need to take rushed photos during their cocktail hour. We photographed Erica and Pete’s first look at Block Island’s amazing Southeast Lighthouse.
The love and joy from both Erica and Pete’s family and friends was evident throughout the entire weekend. I especially felt for Erica’s dad. The elation from him all weekend came from the fact that he knew that Erica was with someone that would love her and care for her as much as he does, forever. Being a father myself I couldn’t help but think ahead to the day I’m both dreading and excited for myself, my own daughter’s wedding day.
Wow! Thank you for sharing! Stunning Photos!
