  I’d never heard of a B’nai Mitzvah before I spoke to Samantha and Josh’s Mother Amy.  It’s a Mitzvah celebration for Girl/Boy Twins!  Something new every day.  If you look up the term “happy loving family” on Wikipedia, one of these photos are there.   Spending time photographing this family was truly a joy for me.  Josh, Samantha and their little (taller) sister Rachel seem to really appreciate and enjoy being with each other.  Scott’s speech to his children during the party was an unforgettably poignant moment.  It gave me insight into what Jewish people had to endure just a few generations ago, and how much family and tradition should mean to everyone.  It was heartwarming to be at an event that was centered around celebrating family with us here now while honoring the memory of those passed on.  I hugged my own children a little harder than usual that next morning.  I hope my kids grow up to appreciate each other as much as Josh, Samantha and Rachel do.
